Attorney Joseph Field
Senior Attorney (Estate Planning/Probate/Trust Administration)
With more than three decades of legal experience, Joseph A. Field is the principal owner of Field Law, P.A. Joe’s dedication to his clients and his community shines through in both his work and his life. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and St. John’s University (Collegeville, MN), where he earned a degree in Government, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to every case.
Joe is also an award-winning author, having penned the touching memoir Finding Joe Adams, which chronicles his personal journey to discover his birth father later in life. His story is a testament to perseverance, family, and the importance of connection.
Outside the office, Joe is a devoted family man. He’s been married to his Swedish wife for 30 years and is the proud father of two daughters and a stepson, with a new grandbaby bringing even more joy to the family.
Joe enjoys reading a cross section of topics, fiction & non-fiction, fishing for walleyes & crappies, & deer hunting. He presently serves his community as Chairman of a city Charter Commission.

Betty Field
Office Manager
Betty Field is an accomplished office manager, bringing over 30 years of administrative expertise from major companies to, more recently, a university nursing program. Known for her organizational prowess and dedication, she ensures smooth operations in high-paced environments. In her spare time, she enjoys diving into historical novels, exploring the outdoors on e-bike rides with her husband, and cherishing moments spent watching her granddaughter.
Suzanne Van Hecke
Legal Assistant (Probate)
Suzanne Van Hecke has over 9 years’ experience as a Probate Legal Assistant with Field Law P.A. She hopes to make things a little easier for clients who are navigating the probate process. Suzanne manages our probate case flow, prepares and files probate legal documents, and assists the Attorneys with client communication.
Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys playing cards with friends, gardening, and traveling with her husband; she hopes to improve her pickleball game (… someday). A resident of Andover, MN for over 23 years, she and her husband have two adult sons and one grandson.
Cheryl Seiffert
Business Manager
As our business manager, Cheryl Seiffert, offers 30+ years of experience in accounting and IT management skills. She retired from full-time work in 2022 to enjoy traveling and spending time at their cabin in northern Minnesota with her husband. She enjoys card-making, reading, gardening, home decorating, and hiking when not helping others with life skills.
Cheryl Glass
Administrative Assistant
When you call our office chances are you will reach our always-cheerful administrative assistant, Cheryl Glass. She has many years of management experience, including the last several years as a purchasing manager for a local university. She enjoys her grandchildren, traveling, organizing and interior design.
Chris Fleck
Estate Planning Legal Assistant
Chris brings over 30 years of experience in business, nonprofit legacy planning, and financial services to his role at Field Law. He’s passionate about helping families navigate estate planning with clarity and care.
Chris and his wife Therese have been married 32 years and enjoy time with their grown children and grandchildren. Outside of work, he leads men’s Bible studies and loves hiking, lakeside walks, and time outdoors with family.
